Description: From a little-known town Speyside in Scotland, this top rated distillery produce this special 18-year-old Glen Elgin whisky. This is sophisticatedly made by combining whisky matured in sherry-style butts and European reused oak barrels. This whisky was made in experimental fashion and some of the spirit was distilled using an experimental batch of Pombe yeast which is more commonly used in the production of millet beer.
Tasting Notes: A pale bronze hue with vanilla-toffee sweetness. It has aroma of leafy, fruit salad, fennel notes on the nose. It has a buttery, woody and spicy touch on the tongue. On plalate, it bursts with sweetness of honey and honeycomb, followed by sour apples, oaky spice and brown sugar.
